Heavy-Duty 3-Claw Rotary Shear Blades for Tire Recycling

Heavy-Duty 3-Claw Rotary Shear Blades for Tire Recycling

Tire Shredder Blades

Premium 3-claw rotary shear blades engineered for primary tire shredding and TDF (Tire Derived Fuel) production. Manufactured from OEM-grade Cru-Wear (PGK) and Modified A8 tool steels to withstand extreme impact from bead wires. Precision machined to exact ±0.05mm (0.002") tolerances to ensure tires are cleanly cut rather than torn.

Engineering Advantages

01 — MATERIALS

Cru-Wear (PGK) & Modified A8

Utilizing OEM-grade premium alloys. Cru-Wear provides ultimate toughness and durability for high-volume lines, while Modified A8 offers the best balance of cost and performance.

02 — EFFICIENCY

Cut, Don't Tear

Precision ground to ±0.05mm. This ensures a true scissor-like cutting action, preventing wire pull-out, reducing machine wear, and drastically lowering energy consumption.

03 — OUTPUT QUALITY

Consistent TDF Chips

Exact blade thicknesses (e.g., 2-inch standard) combined with zero-clearance shearing produce uniform, high-quality Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) chips with minimal exposed wire.

Product FAQs & Buying Guidance

Technical FAQs

01Why should I upgrade to Cru-Wear (PGK) from standard D2 tool steel?
+

Tires contain high-tensile bead wires that act as extreme impact loads. Standard D2 is highly wear-resistant but brittle; the edge will chip when it strikes bead wire. Cru-Wear (PGK) is engineered with a different carbide structure, making it significantly tougher and more durable than D2, absorbing the impact without fracturing while maintaining excellent edge retention.

02How does blade tolerance affect my shredder's energy consumption?
+

If the thickness tolerance of the rotary blades varies by more than 0.05mm (0.002"), a gap forms between the counter-rotating knives. Instead of shearing the elastic tire, the machine tries to stretch and tear it. This pulling action requires massive amounts of torque, which spikes the motor's amp draw and wastes energy. Precision tolerances ensure a low-friction, clean cut.

03How does the 3-claw design benefit whole tire processing?
+

A 3-claw geometry provides the ideal bite angle and spacing. If there are too many claws (e.g., 8 or 10), the tire will bounce on top of the rotor because the hook gaps are too small to grab the thick rubber. 3 claws provide a massive opening that hooks into the tire cavity and pulls the entire tire down into the cutting chamber.

Why Choose Sureay

01Can you supply spacers and cleaning fingers (scraper plates) to match the blades?
+

Yes. A complete tire shredding rotor requires matched blades, spacers, and cleaning fingers. We manufacture the complete set to the same strict tolerances to ensure zero-gap assembly across the entire length of the rotor shaft.

02Do you have the blueprints for Barclay or CM shredders?
+

We maintain a comprehensive database of OEM blade drawings for major tire shredding platforms. Supplying us with your machine model or a basic confirmation drawing allows us to manufacture exact drop-in replacements.
