Twin-Shaft and Planetary Mixer Wear Parts
Twin-shaft mixer wear parts include chamber liners, mixing paddles, supporting arms, scrapers and shaft-end seals. Sureay brings these product families together for plants sourcing parts for both shafts and the surrounding mixing chamber.
The range also serves planetary concrete mixer applications, with wear components for the chamber surfaces and rotating mixing tools. Whether the order is for replacement paddles or a wider set of chamber parts, our concrete mixing plant range provides a direct starting point.
Wear-Resistant Materials for Mixer Parts
High-Chromium Cast Iron
High-chromium cast iron is available for liners, blades and scrapers exposed to abrasive aggregate. Its hard carbide structure provides wear resistance on the surfaces that work directly against the batch. Controlled casting and heat treatment support the intended properties of the finished wear component.
Ni-Hard Cast Iron
Ni-Hard is an established wear-resistant cast iron used in abrasive industrial service. Sureay offers Ni-Hard options within the concrete mixer wear-part range, including chamber liners. It provides another casting option for replacement components working in repeated mixing cycles.
Tough Cast Steel for Mixing Arms
Load-bearing mixing arms use tough cast steel, including ZG310-570, to carry the forces between the shaft and the mixing tools. The range combines abrasion-resistant iron for wear faces with cast-steel options for supporting components.
Lost Foam Casting for Concrete Mixer Wear Parts
Lost foam casting is a key process behind Sureay’s cast mixer wear parts. A shaped foam pattern defines the component, and molten metal replaces the pattern during pouring. This approach supports complex contours, shaped arm bodies and mounting features within a single casting.
For mixer wear parts, that flexibility supports repeatable profiles across liners, blades and arms. Producing more of the component’s shape during casting can also reduce the amount of material that needs to be removed during finishing.
Our manufacturing approach brings together wear-resistant materials, controlled casting and heat treatment to support consistent wear performance and long service life. The focus is a well-made finished component: the casting shape, material structure and working surfaces all contribute.
Large-Scale Casting Capability
Our mixer wear-part production combines multiple molding processes with six automatic melting furnace systems. Our annual casting capacity reaches 83,000 tonnes across our production lines, including a dedicated lost foam casting line.
Our casting capacity
- tonnes / year across casting lines
- 83,000
- automatic melting furnace systems
- 6
- tonnes / year in lost foam casting
- 15,000
| Casting process | Annual capacity |
|---|---|
| DISA vertical molding | 30,000 tonnes |
| Automated digital cold-core-box / shell molding | 36,000 tonnes |
| Lost foam casting | 15,000 tonnes |
| Sodium silicate and coated-sand molding | 2,000 tonnes |
This mix of casting processes provides the manufacturing base behind a broad range of wear-part shapes and batch production. Melting, molding and downstream finishing work together to support repeat replacement supply.
Heat Treatment & Finished-Part Quality
Heat treatment develops the intended material properties of wear-resistant castings. Our facilities include a tunnel-type heat-treatment line rated at 25 tonnes per day, a gas-fired furnace at 50 tonnes per day, a car-bottom furnace at 20 tonnes per day, and additional heat-treatment equipment rated at 10 tonnes per day.
Alongside casting and heat treatment, our equipment range includes physical testing facilities and coordinate measurement. We use these capabilities to support material testing and dimensional inspection as castings move toward finished parts.
From Casting to Finished Mixer Wear Parts

- Melting and molding: prepare the alloy and form the part geometry through lost foam or other molding processes.
- Heat treatment: develop the specified material properties for the casting.
- Cleaning and finishing: remove molding residue and finish the surfaces and mounting features.
- Inspection: check the finished components before packing for supply.
