Engineering Advantages

01 — ECONOMY

Flip, Don't Replace — Double the Installed Life

Symmetrical double-edge geometry gives two independent cutting edges per blade. When edge 1 dulls, unbolt, flip 180°, retorque — factory-sharp and back chipping in under two minutes. Halves blade-change downtime and doubles service life before regrinding.

02 — HEAT TREATMENT

Triple-Tempered Through-Hardened Core

Controlled triple-tempering eliminates residual stress and stabilises the martensitic microstructure at HRC 55–60 from surface to core. Every regrind cycle exposes steel of identical quality — no soft spots, no inconsistent edge life across the blade set.

03 — SURFACE TREATMENT

Teflon Anti-Sap Coating

Pine, spruce, and eucalyptus resin adheres to blade faces and accelerates edge wear. Optional Teflon (PTFE) rake-face coating cuts sap adhesion by ~70%, extending clean-running intervals and reducing the frequency of mid-shift blade pulls.

Product FAQs & Buying Guidance

Technical FAQs

01How do I choose between T10, 9CrSi, and Cr12MoV?
+

T10 suits green softwood and general landscaping. Upgrade to 9CrSi for mixed hardwood/softwood — maple, birch, ash — where it delivers 40–60% longer edge life. Specify Cr12MoV for high-volume dry hardwood or lightly contaminated urban green waste.

02When should I flip the blade, and how many times can I regrind?
+

Flip when chipping efficiency drops — ragged chip faces, increased motor load, or visible edge rounding over 0.5 mm. After both edges are consumed, each edge can be reground 3–5 times on a standard surface grinder, yielding 6–10 total cutting edges per blade.

03Will the Teflon coating survive regrinding?
+

Yes — only the bevel face is ground during resharpening; the rake-face Teflon coating remains intact. It typically persists through 4–6 regrind cycles before recoating is beneficial.

04What bolt-hole pattern do I need for my chipper model?
+

Bandit 12″/15″: 2-hole. Bandit 18″/19″: 4-hole. Vermeer BC900/BC1200: 2-hole. BC1500/BC1800: 4-hole. Provide your model number or send your worn blade and we confirm the exact configuration. Custom patterns within 7 working days.
