Our engineers check it against the material and process first — if a tolerance, radius, or dimension isn't practically achievable, we raise it with you and propose a workable alternative before manufacturing starts, not after a rejected first article.
No drawing on hand? Send the worn or damaged part — we measure it on a CMM, produce a dimensioned drawing, and get your written approval before cutting any metal.

Material Recommendations, Not Just Material Options
D2, H13, PM-HSS, and solid carbide each suit a different combination of abrasion, impact, and heat — and customers don't always default to the right one. Before we quote, we ask about your actual cutting condition, and if a different grade will run longer or cost less, we say so.
Sustained thermal cycling is steered toward H13; high-abrasion, low-impact cutting toward D2 or PM-HSS; the most demanding profiles toward solid carbide.
Every alloy is vacuum hardened and deep cryogenically treated in-house, regardless of which grade fits your application.

Inspection Support That Doesn't End at Shipment
CMM inspection reports, hardness certificates, and material traceability ship with every order — but if a dimension or a field result raises a question, our engineers work through it with your team directly, and propose adjustments for the next batch if needed.
First-article orders include a First Article Inspection Report (FAIR), reviewed with you before full production is released.

Our minimum order quantity is 1 piece. We accept single-piece prototype orders, first-article samples, and full production runs on the same manufacturing line. There is no volume threshold required to place a custom order.
Most custom and special-shaped blades fall between $20 and $800 per piece, depending on profile complexity, material grade, and order quantity. We provide an exact, no-obligation quote after reviewing your drawing or sample — there is no charge for a quotation.
We accept DXF, DWG, and STEP files as standard, along with PDF drawings and JPG/PNG photos of a sketch or sample. If you do not have a drawing, you can ship a physical sample or worn blade — we will reverse-engineer the geometry on our CMM and produce a drawing for your approval before manufacturing.
Standard lead time from drawing approval to first-article sample dispatch is 5–15 working days, depending on profile complexity and material. Simple profiles in D2 or H13 steel typically ship in 5–7 working days; carbide-tipped, solid carbide, or complex multi-step profiles may require up to 15 working days — confirmed at quotation stage.
We manufacture custom profiles in D2 cold-work tool steel (HRC 60–62), H13 hot-work tool steel (HRC 48–52), PM-HSS powder-metallurgy high-speed steel, and solid tungsten carbide. Material selection is matched to your cutting condition — abrasion level, impact load, temperature, and required edge life — at the quotation stage.
Yes. Send us the worn or undamaged sample and we will measure all critical dimensions on our coordinate measuring machine (CMM), produce a dimensioned drawing, and submit it for your approval. Manufacturing starts only after you confirm the drawing is correct. The CMM report is included with the first-article shipment.
Every custom blade shipment includes: Rockwell HRC hardness test certificate, CMM dimensional inspection report confirming all critical dimensions and tolerances, steel mill material traceability certificate, and heat treatment batch certificate. First-article orders additionally include a first-article inspection report (FAIR). Enhanced documentation packages for ISO 9001 qualification are available on request.
